PENSIONERS TO RECEIVE COVID 19 RELIEF FUND
BASSETERRE ST. KITTS, 18TH MAY 2020 — Social Security Pensioners can now apply for the Covid 19 Relief Fund.
In a live broadcast on radio on Saturday May 16th, Director of Social Security, Mr Antonio Maynard announced that consideration had been given to Pensioners who are in receipt of Social Security Pensions of less than $1000 monthly and are still employed.
This particular group covers:
- Pensioners whose monthly social security pensions are less than $1000 and are still working for a registered employer
- Registered Self Employed Pensioners who were still plying their trade before the pandemic
- Persons over age 62 who are still employed but who has no pension
These persons are eligible for a grant of up to $1000. Pensioners already in receipt of a pension will be topped up so that their monthly income during this period will be no less than $1000.
Applicants may now apply for the grant online at www.socialsecurity.kn or in person at the Social Security offices in Basseterre and Pinney’s Estate.
